Welcome to Suim’s Website!
I’m Suim Park, a researcher and data scientist working at the intersection of human–computer interaction, AI-assisted reasoning, and design for well-being. I build intelligent systems that understand users more deeply—emotionally, cognitively, and contextually—to create more empathetic and inclusive technologies.
I am currently completing my Master’s in Interdisciplinary Data Science at Duke University, where I have worked on projects in:
- GraphRAG-based medical question answering (92.5% relevance accuracy)
- Objective skin tone measurement using spectrophotometry, colorimetry, and mobile sensing
- AI and inequality research with UNESCO & Duke SSRI
I have also served as a Teaching Assistant for graduate-level courses at Duke, mentoring students in cloud computing, scalable data pipelines, and DevOps practices. Beyond research and teaching, I contribute to the Duke community as part of the Korean Graduate Student Association (KGSA) and previously as a Senior Researcher at Ajou University’s behavioral science lab.
My research goal is to design technologies that respond meaningfully to human emotion and experience. I am currently preparing applications for PhD programs in Human–Computer Interaction, Information Science, and Interactive Technology.
